LHC Group’s IntegrityLine compliance hotline was established to provide a confidential and anonymous line of communication for employees, contractors and third parties to communicate with our Compliance Department. Even the most effective corporate compliance and ethics program will not prevent a small number of employees from engaging in activity that does not comply with company policies and procedures, or with applicable laws, rules and regulations. Every effective compliance and ethics program must have an anonymous method for identifying and resolving inappropriate, unethical or illegal conduct. The need for this method of anonymous communication is reinforced by the OIG Compliance Program Guidance for Home Health Agencies which states: “An open line of communication between the compliance officer and home health agency employees is equally important to the successful implementation of a compliance program.”
LHC Group has established a compliance hotline reporting system, called the IntegrityLine, to enhance communication within LHC Group. The web-based and telephonic compliance hotline provides an anonymous way to report compliance concerns or potential compliance violations or ask questions of the chief compliance officer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The toll-free telephone number, 1.888.703.0301, and the website, http://www.lhcgroupintegrity.com, are hosted by an independent third party vendor.
Large sized IntegrityLine posters have been provided to and posted in every location throughout our organization. Wallet-sized cards with the IntegrityLine information are also provided to every employee for personal reference.
