LHC Group Lauded as one of World’s Fastest-growing Companies
LAFAYETTE, La. — LHC Group Inc., a national provider of home health and hospice services, has been recognized as one of the world’s fastest-growing companies by the International Business Times.
LHC Group ranks 468th on the inaugural IBT1000 and is one of 176 U.S. companies included in the ranking. Other U.S. businesses featured among the 1,000 fastest-growing companies include such notables as Apple Inc., Pfizer Inc. and PepsiCo Inc.
For LHC Group, the IBT1000 ranking is the latest in a series of honors. In 2011, the company was named one of “America’s 100 Best Small Companies” by Forbes magazine for the fifth consecutive year. And Fortune magazine in 2011 recognized LHC Group as one of the nation’s “100 Fastest-Growing Companies” for the second consecutive year.
LHC Group has also earned national recognition for its quality of care. Nearly 40 percent of the company’s home health providers were rated among the nation’s 2011 “HomeCare Elite,” an independent ranking of home health quality and performance. The 2011 HomeCare Elite list, compiled annually by OCS HomeCare and DecisionHealth, names the top 25 percent of home health agencies in the United States.
The IBT1000 ranks the performance of all public companies between 2009 and 2011, measured by average three-year growth. The listing was compiled by the International Business Times, an online global business newspaper comprised of 18 editions published in 10 languages.
