William Brent Turner

Brent Turner was appointed a director in 2014. Mr. Turner currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for Summit BHC, a leading provider of behavioral health services. He also served as president of Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc., one of the country’s leading providers of inpatient behavioral healthcare, from 2011 to 2019. He also previously served as the executive vice president, finance and administration of Psychiatric Solutions, Inc., from 2005 to 2010, and as vice president, treasurer and investor relations of Psychiatric Solutions from 2003 to 2005. From late 2008 through 2010, Mr. Turner served as the division president of Psychiatric Solutions, Texas, Illinois, and Minnesota.

From 1996 until 2001, Mr. Turner was employed by Corrections Corporation of America, a private prison operator, serving as treasurer from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Turner currently serves on the board of directors of Surgery Partners (SGRY). He previously served as the chairman of the board of directors for the National Association of Behavioral Healthcare (NABH), and also served as its chairman in 2009. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., from which he graduated cum laude, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management.
