Tyree G. Wilburn

Tyree G. Wilburn was elected a director for Almost Family in 1996, and joined the LHC Group board when the two companies finalized their merger in April 2018. He retired from our Board in 2019. Since 2017, Mr. Wilburn has served as chairman of the board and CEO of Integra Health Systems, a private hospital management company he co-founded. From 2003 to 2012, Mr. Wilburn was chairman of the board and CEO of Merit health Systems, a private hospital management company. Merit was sold in 2012, providing a substantial return to investors. He was a management consultant from 1996 to 2002. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Wilburn served as chief development officer and later as executive vice president, chief financial and development officer, and CEO-elect at Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CYH). He led the very successful go-private sale of Community Health in 1996 to Forstmann Little. From 1974 to 1992, Mr. Wilburn was with Humana Inc., where he held senior and executive positions in mergers and acquisitions, finance, planning, hospital operations, audit, and investor relations. Mr. Wilburn also serves as managing partner of The Yearling Funds, an early stage venture capital company he co-founded, and is also a director of several private companies.
