Nearly 60 percent of LHC Group’s home health agencies are rated among the nation’s best in an independent ranking.

In total, 134 LHC Group home health agencies from 63 providers have been ranked among the 2012 HomeCare Elite, an independent rating of home health quality and performance. The 2012 HomeCare Elite listing, compiled annually by OCS HomeCare and DecisionHealth, names the top 25 percent of home health agencies in the United States.

The 2012 HomeCare Elite ranking is a compilation of the most successful home care providers in the United States. Now in its seventh year, the market-leading review names the top 25 percent of agencies based on a collection of performance measures. This year, those measures include quality of care, quality improvement, patient experience, process measure implementation and financial performance.

Agency performance in each of the domains was compared against the performance of other organizations in their state and nationwide (including U.S. territories). The domains were combined into one overall score, using a weighting methodology that gives the greatest importance to quality of care.
