OPELOUSAS, La. – Louisiana Family Fitness Center will hold a ribbon cutting event in conjunction with the Opelousas – St. Landry Chamber of Commerce to introduce its latest addition – a 24-hour workout area fully equipped with free weights, cardio equipment, restrooms and showers.
The event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 12 p.m. at Louisiana Family Fitness Center located at 336 Heather Drive in Opelousas. The public is invited to attend. Professional fitness instructors and personal trainers will be at the event to answer questions about health and fitness and provide demonstrations.
Louisiana Family Fitness Center was recently renovated and outfitted with all new cardio equipment and weight machines. The facility also offers three tennis courts and two heated pools – indoor and outdoor. The new workout area will be open and available for continued use after the main portion of the facility closes at 9 p.m.
“This new addition provides an after-hour workout facility for people in the area who work late or otherwise need a late-night option for exercise,” said Vicki Hargroder, fitness center manager.
