Ocala home health administrator recognized by state organization

OCALA, Fla. – Carol Costa, RN, administrator at Munroe Regional HomeCare in Ocala, has been recognized by the Home Care Association of Florida with the “Terri Santangelo Outstanding Leader Award.” Costa was presented with the honor at the organization’s annual conference in Orlando in August.

The HCAF selects one leader from among its membership across the state of Florida for the award.

The award is named for and presented in honor of the organization’s former president. According to the HCAF, the recipient exemplifies the qualities of a true home health industry leader and is someone “who has made outstanding contributions in motivating staff to achieve excellence in home care service.”

“I was honored to be recognized from among so many worthy peers,” Costa said. “The award means a lot to me, but it was our entire team at Munroe Regional HomeCare that made this possible.”

The HCAF is the premiere trade association for the home care industry in Florida. It provides representation, communication, and advocacy for home care providers, as well as “the information they need to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services to patients and clients in their home.”

Munroe Regional HomeCare is part of LHC Group, a national provider of post-acute care services with more than 350 locations in 25 states.
