Birthday Celebration

“Cakes are special. Every birthday, every celebration ends with something sweet, a cake, and people remember. It’s all about the memories.”
-Buddy Valastro

University of Tennessee Hospice in Morristown, TN, celebrated a very special birthday. One of their patients turned 94 years old, so the team got together with her and her family to celebrate. They brought flowers, gifts, balloons, and a card. They all shared hot dogs, chips, sang “Happy Birthday” and shared cake.

The patient was overwhelmed and broke down several times with happy tears. She and her family expressed over and over how wonderful the Morristown staff is. They absolutely love Charles Allen, RN, and Delores (Dee) Goble, CAN, and said that they have both done a tremendous job supporting the patient and her family. Also in attendance were Traci Saunders, ED, Pam Jinks, MSW, Kim Snowden, AE, Leah Ryan, Chaplain, and Bryan Mills, AVP-Sales.

The Morristown team helped create a special memory for their patient and her family. This is a great example of how hospice can make a huge difference in people’s lives every day!
