Dan S. Wilford was appointed to the LHC Group Board of Directors in 2005. He retired from our Board effective with the closing of the Almost Family merger. From 1984 through 2002, Mr. Wilford served as president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Wilford also served as CEO of a community-based, not-for-profit, multi-hospital system in the greater Houston area. Previously, he was associated for 10 years with Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., and was president of North Mississippi Health Services in Tupelo, Miss.

He presently serves on the board of directors for the publicly traded Healthcare Realty Trust, as well as 12 not-for-profit organizations, most of which are related to the healthcare industry. In March 2009, Mr. Wilford was inducted into Modern Healthcare’s Hall of Fame.
