What exactly are in-home care and companionship services?

Think of a commnity-based services caregiver as your personal assistant. Our caregivers will come to your home or assisted living facility and help with your day-to-day needs. Community-based services caregivers are not skilled medical professionals; they are homemakers, bath aids, live-in companions, home care aides and personal attendants. They can assist with transportation and running errands.

When is care available?

Care can be provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Is there a minimum hourly requirement?

No. Whether you need one hour of care, several hours of care throughout the day or care 24 hours a day, our dedicated caregivers are here to serve you. We work with patients and families to tailor caregiver schedules specifically to your needs.

Who monitors my caregivers?

From the beginning of service and throughout the course of care, supervisors regularly evaluate every caregiver’s performance to assure that the ongoing relationship meets your needs.

How do you select caregivers?

Our caregivers complete a rigorous screening process that includes background and reference checks, interview, drug screen and assessment of interpersonal and communication skills. All caregivers are specially trained, licensed, bonded and insured for your protection.

How and when do I contact you?

We are available and on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Are services covered by insurance and, if not, what is the cost?

Services are covered through long-term care and some medical insurances, Veterans Affairs and workers’ compensation. We accept most forms of insurance. Please contact a location near you to verify your benefits and what your carrier will cover. Out-of-pocket services range in cost depending on the care you or your loved one requires.

How do I set up care?

It’s as easy as contacting the location nearest you. We can set up care over the phone, from your hospital room or from the comfort of your own home. We offer a free in-home assessment and can provide care the same day.
